It is centrally situated to explore the island's attractions and coastline yet only 10 minutes to beaches and 25 minutes to Holyhead Port.
The farmhouse is nestled within a large working beef, sheep and arable farm, the interesting traditional 18th century farm buildings are Grade 2* Listed. It is approached by two driveways one of which has mature trees and in Springtime is lined with daffodils, wild flowers and rhododendrons. Lovely walks where wildlife can be seen. Many guests return to enjoy the hospitality.
Guests can relax in the inviting spacious lounge with antiques and log fire. Reputation for excellent breakfasts which are served in the cosy dining room with separate tables. Special diets catered for and there are eating places close by. Most comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished bedrooms with spacious en-suite bathrooms and attention to detail. Directions from Bangor: Travel on the A55 to Junction 6 and follow signs for Llangefni on the A5114. At Llangefni follow the sign for Oriel Ynys Mon and the B5111 to Llanerch-y-medd. Approx.100m after passing Llanerch-y-medd village sign, stop on the bad bend and turn right for Benllech. Travel for approx. half a mile to the telephone kiosk on the right. Turn first left by the B&B sign down the drive to the T junction. Turn right for Drws y Coed.
Altenative route:
After crossing the Britannia Bridge, take the A5025 to Benllech and turn left before the petrol station onto the B5108 to Brynteg crossroads. Drive across onto the Llanerch-y-medd road for approx. two and a half miles, driving through the hamlet of Maenaddwyn. Half a mile on, pass the signpost to Parc-Llandyfrydog on the right. Keep on the Llanerch-y-medd road for half a mile. Turn right by Drws y Coed sign at Llwydiarth Esgob Lodge (a cottage). Travel for half a mile, driving through the old farmyard and passing the old manor house. Drws y Coed is the first on the left.
